The game of American roulette differs from the more commonly played European roulette in that it contains an extra numbered pocket. Instead of just one 0 pocket there are two, the second pocket is numbered 00. The rest of the Roulette rules remain the same as in the European version as do the betting options. The main difference lies in the fact that the player now has a slightly smaller chance of winning as there is an additional pocket in the equation. It is for this reason that many Roulette players choose to stick to the European version of roulette with its slightly higher chance of winning.
